Fractional, non ablative laser technology is now the driving power behind scar reduction. It is a more comfortable alternative to surgery, with remarkable results. The laser creates columns of micro injury while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. This creates a wound healing response in the skin that stimulates the formation of new collagen and elastins, leading to healthy new skin tissue. Non ablative lasers treat both surgical and acne scars with little downtime While the number of treatments depends on the scar is typically 3-6.
